Welcome Back Trotter

Well, Hello There

This, my friends, is my best impression of a piggy.  This is also what mom sees just about every morning.  I still have no idea what personal space is.  It's best to get right up and personal when you want to get something.  Like breakfast, or lunch, or dinner.  Or a small white furry snack.  That is frowned upon apparently.  Peace out.

I'm actually just a guinea pig.

Because I enjoy a good chew now and then, mom was looking for a way to keep me in chew toys without breaking the bank.  I can tear me up some fluffies on the regular.  She started making fleece tugs when I was working on bite work and then started losing my puppy teeth.  I am a big fan of anything that flaps and my favorite toys are soft, not always the best toy to play tug with, and some of the harder ropes were rough on my broken gums while my big girl teeth were coming in, so we combined the best of the two worlds.  Soft, but firm in a braided chew toy.

They turned out so well, mom is considering selling these toys to our doggie friends.  This one is my big chew.  It's over 9" long and woven in a square braid so its super firm for biting and tugging.  And I love the flappy bits on the end.  Super enticing!  Made from anti pill fleece it can be washed and dried.

She even made a little one for my nemesis Oliver.  It's little dog small, so I can't chew on this one else I could swallow it whole!  Well, I bet I could!  She also has designs for one of either size with flappy tails on both ends, and one with a loop handle on one end for the ultimate in tugging ease for you humans.  They also have the added benefit of cleaning my teeth while I'm playing since it works like a tooth cloth when you sink your teeth into it's soft center.  Talk to my mom if you might be interested in having her make you some great toys.

My favorite

I have so many toys, too many in fact to keep track of.  I think that's why mom hides half of them. Little does she know that I know where she hides them and I can sneak in whenever someone leaves the door open and take them.  But my absolute favorite toy is the flirt pole.  I will beg and plead and sometimes lie to play with it outside.  It's the first thing I go for when it's time to play, the toy I always get.  Oh, I have tugs and balls and stuffed things but none compare to that pole.  It flips and flies and wiggles, always teasing me. Sometimes it takes me a while to chase it down, but I always win in the end.

My favorite inside toy has to be my purple fuzzy ball  mom calls my chuzzle after the game of the same name.  It's real good to bite on, I can make it squeak in pain using my new big dog teeth.        Which I just got recently.  It's about time.  My puppy teeth were not sufficient to do all the biting I   think I need to.  As a matter of fact, they were kind of holding up the destruction of my antler          recently.  It's good to know I can now finish it off.
Speaking of losing teeth, mom has a whole bunch of them she took away from me.  For some         reason she wouldn't let me play with them.  Or eat them.  I'm not sure why.

Pacing myself

Hi, Cleopatra here.
My posh name is Cunningham's Queen of the Nile, but my mom had another name for me early on. It wasn't very nice so you can call me Cleo, or Land Shark, or fuzzbutt because there is a lot of that lately.  The photo above was me right after I came home.  I can say I was a little confused with the living arrangements because my Fur mom wasn't around and neither were my brothers and sisters.  But my human mom introduced me to my human brother and sister, who I like a lot because they have bunches of energy and will play with me almost as much as I want.  I also met Oliver, who quite frankly didn't like me very much, and my sister cats, who also didn't like me.  It's hard to be the new kid.
For now, this blog will be my chronicle into the world of becoming the best dog I can be and all the life experiences a big girl can have.
